ALANA DAWN

INSPIRATION:
Since I was a young girl I loved to play dress up. When I was 13, my dad took me on my first make-up shopping experience and bought my first personal make-up kit from MAC. “Faces” by Kevin Aucoin also inspired me.

FAVORITE PART ABOUT BEING A MAKE-UP ARTIST:
I love making people feel beautiful! They are always so happy when they look in the mirror.

HELPFUL TIP:
Always apply primers, they make a huge difference and help your make-up last for hours.

AMANDA BRANCATO

INSPIRATION:
I know I am going to sound a little crazy, but Philadelphia Cream Cheese was my make-up inspiration. When I was three, my mom found me putting it all over my little sisters face, applying it perfectly to her eyes, lips and cheeks. When my mom asked what I was doing, I replied, “I’m doing her make-up, Mommy.” And that was the start of my love affair with make-up!

FAVORITE PART ABOUT BEING A MAKE-UP ARTIST:
I just love making people feel good about themselves. Everyone likes to feel pretty. Simple as that!

HELPFUL TIP:
When applying liner on the upper lash line, make sure no skin is showing through. You want the line completely solid, so when mascara is added, you get the most definition while making a big impact.

ERIN LeBRE

INSPIRATION:
I was always an art student and someone who loved being around other people. My best friends mom was the one who encouraged me to move forward and try a career in make-up. I’m so glad she did!

FAVORITE PART ABOUT BEING A MAKE-UP ARTIST:
I love making people feel good about the way they look. It’s very satisfying when someone looks in the mirror and can smile at themselves.

HELPFUL TIP:
Never wear eyeliner just on the lower lash line. Always line the top of the eye or the top and bottom to make the eyes look defined and open. By only lining under the eye, your eyes can appear to be sagging and tired.

RACHAEL VANG

INSPIRATION:
My mom inspired me to become a makeup artist. As a little girl my first memories were of my mom taking me to makeup counters and letting me keep the free gifts she would get. I would come home and put everything in the gifts on my face.

FAVORITE PART ABOUT BEING A MAKE-UP ARTIST:
I love creating fun looks or just simple makeup to empower that person’s day.

HELPFUL TIP:
Great skincare! Skincare is key for how makeup will sit on your face.
