“I always say that I started doing hair by accident, but found my true passion in styling hair.”
DEANNE
Who or what inspired you to become a Hairstylist?
I've always been a creative person, but at a young age had trouble finding my niche until I started doing friends hair for special events. Then by word of mouth, I started doing hair for other people throughout high school and college. I always say that I started doing hair by accident, but found my true passion in styling hair, as it fuels me that I can help clients feel beautiful every day.
What is your favorite part about being a Hairstylist?
The one-on-one time I get to spend with a client. By dedicating my full attention to them, our time together feels like we're the only two people in the room. Customizing a look to their style and their specific desires is my favorite part of being a hairstylist.

Contrary to popular belief, it is not better to have multiple-day dirty hair when it comes to special event hairstyling. Depending on how you want to wear your hair, you’d want to wash + dry it either the night prior or the morning of the scheduled event, so you come with dry hair.
How long have you been a Hairstylist?
I’ve been doing hair for a long time, but professionally for 7 years.
What are some of your favorite products?
My favorite styling product right now is the Moroccan oil Luminous Hairspray (medium finish). I love the way it smells, how it holds but is still moldable, and the finish it leaves on the hair.
“Treat your hair like you’d treat your skin, it needs just as much love and care!”

IRINA
Who or what inspired you to become a Hairstylist?
I remember sitting on YouTube in my early twenties, getting so excited about and inspired by the different artists showcasing their work, as well as learning about new beauty products + trends. One day I picked up some of those products, dove into the beauty world and fell in love.
What is your favorite part about being a Hairstylist?
I love when a client sits in my chair, maybe they’re slouching a little, perhaps shy and then once the look starts coming together they sit up straighter, they raise an eyebrow and I can really see their confidence shining through.

My grandma who does hair and make-up. She would tell you it’s in my blood. She’s owned salons, did hair competitions, events, photoshoots, and set work, my entire life.

Arrive on your big day with clean hair. Any product, buildup, or grease will add unnecessary extra time to your service! Also, invest in quality products for at home care/preparation. You wouldn’t buy a Ferrari and not use premium gas!
